Heat for the whole system
An insert with a total output of 14 kW, of which 7.5 kW goes to the water circuit and 6.5 kW heats the room it stands in by air. Connected to a central-heating installation it feeds radiators or underfloor heating, and with a suitably designed system it can also provide domestic hot water.
Installation requirements
The installation requires circulation pumps with control and a backup power supply (UPS or generator). The scope of the connection is determined with a heating engineer based on the existing boiler room; a sample diagram is in the gallery.
Why straight glazing
With a water jacket the temperature in the chamber is lower, so more soot forms on the glass. The straight glazing, 655 × 505 mm, is easier to keep clean than a side glass panel.

Water in the central-heating installation, i.e. radiators or underfloor heating, and with a suitably designed system also domestic hot water. 7.5 kW goes to the water circuit, the remaining 6.5 kW heats the room the insert stands in.
Does it need electricity?
Yes. The circulation pumps, controller and automation need power, which is why every installation is fitted with a backup power supply – a UPS or a generator.
Why does it have straight glazing?
With a water jacket the combustion temperature is lower, so more soot forms on the glass. The front glass, 655 × 505 mm, is easier to keep clean than a side glass panel.
